Xj #0331 Head a problem??

All over the net, the #0331 head is a major problem. yet, all over this board members state that it is over blown hype. Which is it? It's easy to say find a well maintained one that hasn't been over heated. So, is this a major problem or a minor one?

It seems that the 0331 casting is easier to crack, when overheated. But I believe the problem gets blown out of proportion. Any head will crack if overheated enough. It just seems that with overheating that casting will crack more often than others. If your engine is kept in proper working order, and the fluids maintained, as well as the cooling system, you won't have anything to worry about.
