YJ wheel sizes?

Hey guys, I'm wrapping up a YJ rebuild for a friend of mine and we are getting close to buying wheels and tires. We put the big 6" bushwacker flares on and now we aren't sure if we should go with 15x8 or 15x10 wheels with 33's. We want to have the wheels either flush with the flares or just past. Can you guys tell me what you guys are running or post some pics so we can get an idea on what size to buy for our desired look. Thanks!

I would say it depends on the tire width. For 12.50 I wouldn't go any wider than 8" rim. For 10.50 a 7" is fine.

Unless you've got 33 14.50's sitting around, don't worry about 10" rims.

So any 8" wheel with the standard backspacing should put me out to the edge of the flares like we want? I thing most of the backspacing I have seen with the 8" wide wheels is 3.75"

The backspacing is a four hour long conversation. 3.75" is a good start.

This is with stock YJ flares, 33x12.50 Goodyear Duratracs, 15x8 wheels with 3.75 inches of back spacing. Using not so precise measurements (eyeballing a tape measure from above the tire) My flares measure 3 inches wide, I have 3.5 inches of tread sticking out of the flares or 4.75 inches of tire sticking out if you count the side wall bulge, with the lugs on the side wall. I only measured the front, but would assume the rear is the same.

Ok cool, that's what I was looking for. I guess it all depends on the look we want but if we went with something like you have we should be good...thanks! I would still like to see what a 10 inch wheel would look like?
