The YJ hardtop does not fit on any year TJ. The windshield and door frames are very different on the TJ in comparrison to the YJ. I think it's been tried with a CJ hardtop on a TJ but it was extensively modified to fit (lots of cutting/fiberglass work), which the buyer might not want to do.

Any 97-06 hardtop will fit his TJ but he'll need the 03-06 wiring kit if his TJ isn't pre-wired for a hardtop unless he doesn't need the rear wiper/defrost functions.

Good god 1000 for a hardtop good luck selling it for that price. Most hardtops go for 5-600 and 1000 for the full steel doors.

Even down here, you'll have a hard time getting that for a YJ top. Hell, even TJ tops don't go for that. The ones I've seen price over $1000 sit on craigslist for a looong time.
