Ok I must have misunderstood which doors rust out. The Jeep currently has a Bestop on it that is in pretty good condition one zipper is busted so I guess for now we will just order new soft uppers and leave it like it is.

My son is based in Oceana Virginia currently at the NAS there with the Navy.

Seems like we will just send him this Jeep and pray all goes well for him with it.

On my third winter in SE VA with my Jeep. Soft top and door tops. This has been the worst winter so far and once the Jeep warms up, the heat works great. I wouldn't get full doors unless I was further north and even then, its a toss up. I only use my AC when it is hot and raining and I have the top on OR when the wife is with me. Yes, top down AC on blowing on her feet.

Great place for it, no carpet is a plus considering the popup storms we get. Tell him to carry a towel all summer long. Seat will get wet here with top and no doors.

Enjoy.

I've run full soft doors for 4 years with no issues. He's a kid, he won't mind the noise.
