Will It fit in the back of my TJ?
Okay so Im picking up a hardtop for a 1968 corvette next weekend and the only vehicle I have to do it is my 99TJ sport. The questions is with my hardtop on and the backseat out will the top be able to fit into the back of the jeep without removing the jeeps hardtop? I cant find dimensions for the vette roof but I was hoping on the off chance someone here would have some information.

How far of a drive do you have with it? Worse case scenerio you could take your hard top off...and if it doesnt fit strap the vette top down on the jeep w/ ratchet straps and bungees....

ya i think im going to have to take the roof and the backseat off and just hope the weather holds. its just shy of a 5 hour drive from MA to jersey, but its the only guy i've been able to find that has a top.
on a side note, on the really off chance that someone knows of a top for a 68-75 corvette for sale in driver condition any color, send me an email Ryan_Sceviour@hotmail.com the closer to MA the better! I know its a long shot but thought that I'd just throw it out there anyways. Thanks for the help as always guys, much appreciated

We had a 72 vette (same body) with a removable hard top. There is no way it will fit back there with your hard top on. In fact, I'm not sure if it will even fit with your hard top off. Might want double check before you make the trip.

This thread title reminded me of the "Will it float?" game on Letterman. We should post a pics of some new item every week and bet if it will fit in the back of a TJ.

Didn't somebody have a spot called "Will it blend" with putting stuff in a blender?

Crazy idea, you could take the vette, install the top and drive it home!!

UPDATE: well I went for the trip but I swapped the jeeps hardtop off for the soft top. A corvette hardtop WILL fit if you have the back seat out, the back window out, and both front seats slide almost all the way up, if you tilt it sideways and leave it handing over the tailgate about 8inches. Im about 6'1 and it was along ride with my knees against the dashboard but I got the damn thing home. Didn't have a camera on me but I shoulda taken a picture, I got a few funny looks. Thanks for the input guys

The funny looks are the best part! When I have my jetski in the back of the Jeep definitely gets some great looks
