Why no JK browns or tans?

CJ's, had dark browns, tan, and everything in between, YJ's, had tans, champaign and pearlstone, TJ's had desert sand...
Why no more browns and tans?? You can have 2 different reds, and orange-ish,...why no browns or tan for the new Wrangler?

Because hard market research determined that soccer moms did not like neutral colors.
It's all about the target audience.

To be fair, and not sound like your average "oooh, I hate new **** so I'll cut it down all the time" kind of guy - I like the new JK, with the exception of the fender flares. My wife has been contemplating purchasing one, but I think she is waiting to get a Hybrid model in hopes that I won't mod it on the weekends or something.

We more or less decided with the 03 Liberty dies that we will probably replace it with a 4 door JK. The new Liberty is supposed to be crap.

They are already the turd of the Jeep brand no need to paint it brown.

Careful swapping that old Liberty on a Wrangler. The new Liberty and Wrangler share the same "crap" point, the 42RLE tranny. Easily avoided with the 6 speed manual. And hey, it comes in Jeep red!
