For the most part the JK owners I meet are soccer mom types who bought the JK cause they thought it would be cool. Most never put it in 4wd or care about jeep waves. And yes- I hate jk's.

I drive a JK. Other JK's have yet to wave back. About half the TJ's and YJ's wave back. (Its a bit of a learning curve ID'ing them.) The few CJ's I've seen almost always wave.

My wife laughs at me for waving at them all. I've almost given up unless they are obviously modded. Doors off aint enough, maybe half of them wave.

I've got a PA set on my CB now, I'm half tempted to just yell at them through it to get their attention. I've tried not waving and NO ONE waves first it seems.

But all in all, I dont need a wave to validate my jeep. It's a courtesy imho.

Just be happy anyone waves. I pass Jeeps all the time and none of them wave. Jeeps are everywhere here and people just consider them another vehicle. If you drive down the road 2 miles you are sure to pass at least one Jeep.

I get waves 75% of the time if I initiate it. But everyone waves around here.

I actually see more waves and nods from fullsize trucks with motorcycles or snowmobiles in the back.

Honestly...who even cares? Half the people I hold doors for don`t say thank you either. I wave and hold doors because it`s who I am...not for the response I`ll get. If you don`t like being ignored, then don`t wave first.

I'll continue to wave I guess maybe I can teach them. I wasn't trying to stereotype I have nothing against JK owners in general, I just thought it was interesting that many don't wave and I was stating me own observations. We should not give up on the wave even if its not a way of life for some. It not that its a way of life for me as it is brotherhood of owning a unique vehicle that has it's own little quirks about it and is unique to anything I have ever driven or owned.

I just went on a pizza run and a bone stock TJ just looked at me when I waved.......Maybe he was ashamed of the ghey looking Jeep he was driving compared to mine which is lifted and on 35's.. At least he had round headlights..

I waved at a JK next to me today. They gave me the bird. Caught them at the next light and gave it back.

^X2. I wave. Period. Yeah sometimes I don't get a wave back and it's usually JKs. But hey, they probably don't know and if they get waved at enough, most will eventually get a clue. The WORST is people on this board saying "I don't wave unless someone waves first." Then they complain about not getting the wave. Alot of times it's probably the same bozos waiting for the other guy to wave first. There's no middle ground, either you wave or you don't ...

In my area I wave and they are slowly catching on. It is a new type of people that are bying JK's(soccer moms ) and they are slowly catching on. By the way, It doesn't bother me if they don't wave, I do it anyway.
