I think a jeep is a nonchrysler, or at least of AMC design. The last being the 01 cherokee and 95 wrangler, but will allow the TJ as it's still small and jeep looking with athe 4.0.

Put it this way, now that Chrysler has been acquired by Fiat and Jeep too, the era of true American made workhorses has come to an end, I just can't bring myself to believe in such a thing as a Jeep not made in America, will never buy a 2008 present Jeep unless Ford or International saves Jeep from going Italian!

Just because Chrysler was acquired by Fiat what makes you think that Jeeps would be made in Italy? Granted there might be some Italian design influences (which might not be a bad thing) but to have Jeeps manufactured in Italy I doubt it. How many Chrysler products were made in Germany when Mercedes owned a large part of the company?

They will probably be made using parts from Fiat, thus they will be made Italian. Hopefully someone saves Jeep and brings it back like Ford or International. But if Fiat is smart they won't let go of Jeep easily, it is the top selling brand of Chrysler. Chrysler purchased American Motors for 1.5 billion just to have Jeep and that was back in 1988. Imagine what it might sell for today.

Not sure if this was a joke or they all have it but I saw a new jeep one day and said Fiat either on back right or on the right fender under the jeep logo. I dont really remember where the Fiat logo was but did see it. Has anyone else seen this or was someone just being silly?

Fiat had nothing to do with Chrysler until june 2009!
Their influence is not present until the 2010 model year, and even then there was no time to make significant changes.
Only time will tell if their marriage will be for better or worse, and the introduction of the Diesel and Penastar engines seems to be getting nothing but positive feedback.

I See what your saying. In the press release they said that no major changes were going to happen to the Wrangler, which to me is very good news. However, have you seen some of there ideas for new models and some replacements? HIDEOUS and very NOT JEEP ie. the Panda. Wtf? I would love to see Jeep bought back by an American automaker but i will keep my venting to a minimum untill the Wrangler is messed with

I don't think I can say what makes a Jeep 'no longer a Jeep' of course all the jealous anti-JK fags will chime in with their BS (to be expected at this point) but I will say that anything 2x4 does not qualify regardless of model or year.

If it says Jeep, it's a Jeep. I don't know what everyone's arguing about.

I waited a long time on this thread before I did this, but here goes. Please don't be at me, it's how I feel. This is a truck, and nothing more... maybe I am wrong, but I dont really care for this style. Plus, why would someone spend an addition 8k for the AEV kit when they could just buy a truck??? Someone yell at me and tell me I am wrong, please!
