Now my only question is this... after it has to be trailered and is fixed, is it a jeep again?

i think he meant trailered to and from a trail which i agree with...

a jeep stops being a jeep once you cut open the fenders for tires, stretch the driveline, add built up axles and new fenders and a V8 swap...then it's a customized off road machine...no longer the jeep you bought from Willys, Kaiser, AMC or Chrysler...

Isn't that something. All this time I thought it was when you had square headlights and had to add a 2.5" Old Man Emu HD suspension system just to be able to fit 29" tires and clear speed bumps.

Psst... that could be a hummer as well.

Willys originally had the 7 slot grill way back, eventually AM General had the right as well. The HMMWV(REAL Hummers) had the 7 slot grill as one of it's trademarks and the rights were also sold to Chrysler when they bought the Jeep brand from AMC.

My Jeep will remain a Jeep as long as it's registered as a Jeep.

I don't really plan on ever having a non-streetable Jeep. It might be impractical as a daily driver, but could be used on the road if needed.

I might have Chevy axles, but it's got tons of crap from other Jeeps as well(CJ, JK, XJ).

The only opinion we'll all ever agree on is having the Stock/OEM Grille.

I personally have other opinions. But that's the only one we all agree on.

If it still has the Stock VIN number anywhere on it and has the Grille. Then it a Jeep

On the contrary I run 31s on stock suspention with stock flares and no trimming. And yjs are easier to work on and have about 3x as much legroom for the driver.

That's easy to say when your jeep is factory...(according to your profile). my jeep is a DD but I usually trailer it to trails. Towing bills suck.

I'm letting the 29's wear out before I mount the 31's sitting in my garage. They still have plenty of tread left and I don't see the need to scrap them for the sake of going up a tire size when they have plenty of miles left.

Go sit in your plastic "Jeep" and stare at your bugshield.
