Whats it worth?

Ok JF, its been a while since I have been an active member, been delving into the cummins world for a while but I am coming back. I found a 2005 LJ rubi with 13k miles on it bone stock 6 speed. Yes, 13,000. My question is, what is a good price to pay for it? I have to drive 500 miles to get it, but its my dream jeep with no miles, so I'm ready and willing, other than it being blue and me wanting yellow. Oh well.

EDIT: Sorry if this is the wrong forum. Mods please move if need be.

13k miles? Bone stock? No rust? I'm gonna be honest that could go for well over $20k if the right people found it.

Keep it a complete secret, tell no one the location of this jeep and do everything you can to convince the owner that you will be the one walking away with it.

I have no idea what I would walk in offering though. Depends on local market and the awareness of the seller

I'm calling about it first thing in the morning and if it is available, I will be coming home with it for 19-20k

If you haven't called yet it is probably gone unless he wants some crazy amount of $. I'm not so sure 19-20k will buy it.

Was it rust/rot or surface rust? Looking as if you live in the rust belt I would expect a fair amount of surface rust on everything on the underside (why I hate salt!). Just out of curiosity sake how much was the owner asking?

Its at a dealer over in maryland. 20k for it. It was in the hamptons its whole life and the owners kept it in a car port. Its salty rust. NNAAASSTTTYYYY.

I did find one truly with no rust with 35k miles on it. What would that be worth? These prices are all over the place. Its a white 6 speed bone stock.

All low mileage LJ Rubis are going to run around 17-20k from what I have found.

Average it seems for 60-80k miles is 17-18k these days. I'm going to try for 19 on this one.

We paid right around $16k for 60k miles... so I'd say jump at $19-20 as long as it's surface rust and it has a clean title.

I was searching recently and found a private party LJ rubi with 3900 miles. He was asking 35k.... Don't think he will get that but mid 20s is probably about right. It looks like most LJ rubis go between 16-20k around my parts with lower miles being closer to the 20 mark.

Uhh….Where in the world is that? Consensus seems to be with no rust at 35k go for 20. We will see what happens monday. My next option is 66k miles for 17. Argh.
