what's a dana 44 worth?

gonna look at a parts jeep and hoping it has d44 with 3.73's (like my luck's that good right?) . but with drivetrain of 123,000 mls. 5 spd. . i was gonna offer 1000.00 for the whole drive train . if it's just a d35 then i'd just want the engine and tran and t-case . but what if it's a d44 where should i stop ?
1000.00 realistic?

Dont get all excited around the seller if it does have a 44, ask for his offer first and haggle him. But they go for about $800 around my neck of the woods.
