What should I ask

I have an 89 Wrangler, 2.5L 140k milage.
It currently is not running, however if I were to get off my *** I think it is not a major repair.
Body is solid and it has a hard top.
I have decided to sell it and since I bought it brand new and am the original owner I have no clue as to how much to ask.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

hard doors, mostly stock, tires and rims added but nothing over sized. I am in CT.
That is a lot more than I was thinking.

If it is not running I'd start at $2k and work down, 2500-3k doesn't seem realistic for a non running YJ.... Running you could get $3500 plus probably.

It kinda depends on why it is not running. Is there a hole in the block or is head gasket leaking, or is the crank broken? Is the frame sound or is it a typical Northeastern frame with holes right behind the front wheels?

frame and body are good and solid, the TBI is the problem I think.

If you can get it running you are looking at alot more money.

another option might be part it out, I know I sold a YJ tub for $500, frame for $500 , doors $500 etc. It adds up.

Thanks everyone, I think I have a number in my head. I don't really want to get rid of it. Since I bought it brand new I am kinda attached to it. I just have so many things going on I don't ever seem to have the time or funds to get it back on and off the road. That being said I aint giving it away.

You really need to have it running in order to not give it away. If you aren't happy with $2000 max then hold onto it. I wish I held onto mine a few years ago, I have a bit more disposable income now and could keep it running. Its not hurting anything or costing you anything sitting in your driveway, road, yard etc.....

Buying from the original owner is only of value if the owner gets off his *** and maintains it. It's not worth $1K if yer to lazy to fix it.

If the vehicle is not running, you're going to get bottom dollar. What buyer wants to risk that when they don't know what they're getting?
