I traded in my XJ too, it was my first vehicle, obviously some good memories with it too, such as driving it into a lake on accident while offroad . Got ripped off selling it and got taken buying the TJ, but I don't regret it. Part of me still misses the obnoxious audio setup I had that would set off car alarms though , sold that to my brother since it would get ruined or stolen within a week in the TJ

traded my 99 XJ with a smoked tranny and a big part of my soul, i have to say the dealer was really good to me gave me 1500 sight unseen and came and towed it off the farm...3 more years and the TJ is mine

Bought my CJ-5 straight out.
Traded a '86 Chevy Cavalier Z-24 to get my 89 Cherokee Laredo...
Traded that to get my '93 Cherokee Sport...
Traded that on my '98 Wrangler Sport...
Traded that in on my 2008 Wrangler Rubicon.

I gave my parents my previous '98 Civic... it was in very nice condition with 75k miles on it. At the time I was working at home, and I always wanted a Wrangler. But now that I'm driving about 50 miles a day, I have retired my TJ as a DD and bought another Civic. I miss driving my TJ everyday, but I don't care to put commuting miles on it.

Here is the new Civic:

Same as a poster above, got tickets all the time and harrassed. Now I can drive by a cop and nothing. Also, a jeep is much easier to take advantage of as far as its designed use. Can't do 120 mph for long and get away with it.

Sold my 2000 F-150 4x4 to get my TJ. Don't have a pic. of it but if you look out your window, you'll probably see about 10 of them drive by! Which is why I got hosed trying to sell it. They are a dime a dozen. There are millions of them out there. It was a very good truck though and never gave me any probs., but I love my Jeep---no regrets and I can tow it behind the MH when we go camping.

OK HERES A GOOD ONE FOR YA GUYS!!!!! READ THIS>

My story is kind of long but I trade cars & trucks alot Ive owned 50 cars trucks & motorcycles over the past 16 years all were inmy name. Some of you may like this story. I actually Bought a 95 Chrysler LHS for $500.00 it was near mint but needed all new soft plugs, So I put all new soft plugs in it along with a tune up had about $600.00 into it , I then traded that for a 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse I put about $50.00 into that car so thats $650.00 out of my pocket so far, I then sold that to some kids for $3000.00 yep $3000.00 I then went & bought a 99 Subaru Legacy GT very nice car but the wife really didnt like it.we put like $50.00 into that car so Im now ahead $2400.00 I tok that $3000.00 & bought her a 99 Chrysler 300m nice car we put like $125.00 into that car so im Still ahead $2275.00 She had the car about 2 weeks & some lady backed into it & dented the hood & messed up the front bumper just paint , we got $1200.00 out of that accident, I bought her a new hood , a Lebra , tinted the windows , vent visors & still had $700.00 left over so Im now up $2975.00 I then traded the 300m because she wanted her Chevy Trailblazer back for my 97 Jeep Wrangler with a 4 in Suspension lift 33 in tires & lots of little mods. So long story short I have no money in this jeep out of pocket besides the maintenance fixing all the stuff the other owner just let go. I think this truck is a Keeper I really like this Jeep. I have owned 3 jeeps so far.

Heres the $500.00 LHS I cant find my pic of it but it looked just like this

A well modified 98 Ford Ranger 4x4. I wanted something that just worked better off road.
