I started to cringe at 242,000... then you said you only paid a grand. Score! So you gonna leave it a beater or you already got plans to build?

I'll probably just do a mild build if anything. I'll be getting the motor and trans done eventually, so I'm not all that worried about the mileage.

Very nice Jeep, great find.... a non-tech post though so I moved it to the Wrangler General Discussion forum for you.

Nice score. The hard top alone is nearly worth that.

Wow, wish I could find deals like that!

Hows the rust on it?

Rust isn't bad at all... Has a little bit where the trans skid mounts to the frame, a small spot starting to bubble under the driver door, and a small spot on the top of each fender starting to bubble.

Nice, very good score! Can't believe it was still there when you found it, usually they go pretty fast. There's a lot ofmiles on it considering the year but since you already got a new engine n trans then you're good. 2 thumbs up man!

You can afford to build it anyway you want, and still be in great shape........Sell the hardtop for enough to pay for the jeep.....what were they thinking?

Nice looks like the perfect jeep to make a trail rig out of.

Great find for 1,000! Thats how much people usually pay for just a hardtop!!! Drive it until things go wrong, then stroker motor and trail rig it shall be!
