On An 89 Should I Use A Vent Or Non Vented Gas Cap?????????????

I may be wrong, but it'd depend on if your FI or carbed. With injectors, it's a sealed system that needs the balance from a vented lid.

Carbs using a mechanical fuel pump, can you say you have a straw sucking from the bottom of the tank

non-vented. it get's it vent from the hoses I'm in the process of replacing.

So if i put a non vented on my xj (ya I know wrong forum but this is easy then starting a thread) it is a 98 4.0 I put a non vented fuel cap I got out of a TJ in the junk yard. is this bad?
