trying to sell my jeep, How much can i sell it for??

hey guys, im trying to sell my jeep and i want to know what you think i can expect to get for it.

ok so its a black on black 2005 Wrangler LJ auto with 16,500 miles

here is the mod list
-Rubicon Express 7 1/2" long arm tri link suspension lift kit,
- 2" crawler ready spacer up front,
-SS break lines
-front sway bar quick disconnects
-D30 chromo 27 spline US alloy shafts in front
-D44 chromo 30 spline superior shafts in the back
-37x12.50 Good year MT/R tires
-Curre HD steering kit
-Eagle alloy series 058 15x8 rims powdercoated semi gloss black
-tube running boards line-x'd black. (brand new)
-custom magnaflow catback exhaust.
-AA slip yoke eliminator
-Tom Wood CV drive shaft.
-Custom 2/12 inch front bumper light bar lin-x'd black.(brand new)
-2 KC slimlights 130w long range (brand new)
-2 Hella 500 fog lights, (brand new)
-painted satin black light bezels

i also just put brand new pads and front rotors on it. i also have some diamond plate rock panels for the sides that im putting on.
everything other than the brand new stuff has been on the jeep for about 8,000 miles
im saving right now and with in a week im going to regear it to 4:88. will that raise the price any? would it be worth doing if i plan on selling it?

the only thing thats wrong with it is the paint has some light scratches from brushing up against branches.

sorry for the delay on the pictures, its not as clean as it could be but yeah here are some pictures

oh and heres on next to a hummer down the street

thanks for all the help!

-Taylor

this weekend ill try to grab some pictures of it for all of you.

right now its at 3:73

its really not as horrible as people make it out to be, up hills its not very good but just driving around cruising it keep the rpms low so its not to bad.

oh its a soft top also

I have no idea what you could sell it for in the car market, but I fear you are not gonna get out of it what you hope to. Sounds like you have a really sweet rig with a lot of money and effort into it, but unfortunatley those mods usually don't carry over to the used market value very well

If you have time to wait for the right buyer its probably possible, I really dont know the market in California. With a Jeep as heavily built as yours you really have narrowed your window of customers. Most people that would appreciate the work you have done to your Jeep and the quality parts that have gone into would normally rather build up their own rig and do it exactly as they like. The average buyer usually doesn't what a D44 is, nor do they care that it has chromo shafts, same with longarm over shortarm, or sye/cv over TCase drop. Joe shmo looking for an LJ will probably think your rig is awesome, but doesnt understand the money you've put into it and what goes into building a Jeep like this, which will make it hard for them to want to pony up the extra cash. But if you can wait around for that buyer who knows his/her stuff and really likes your Jeep, you might get lucky, who knows?

yeah i see what your saying. ive been trying to sell it for a while now ive had a lot of people interested but every one wants it for dirt cheap.. atleast it seems that way to me. i thought low 20's was a pretty fair price

I hear ya, unfortunately it doesn't matter what the fair price is, only matters what the market is willing to pay that.

SO you have 7.5 + 2 = 9.5 inches of lift!! holy **** man ... Definetly need to see some pics

But yeah. Id take the stock blue book value plus 1/3 the price spent on all the mods.

I've never been able to get more than 10% of what I paid on mods back when I sell, assuming they're left on the car. If you don't get much interest, part out what you can to recoup some expenses.

Maybe in today's market it's "the stock blue book value minus 1/3 the price spent on all the mods"

Anyhoo ..

First off, I would not spend the money on the gearing, the person whos buys your Jeep will most likely want to use it off road...and will probably want to add a rear locker at the minimum or possibbly upgrade the axles. I would instead lower the price. I would start at 21k, but be ready to go to 19,500 and take 18,500....

A quick check in the auto trader... there are many LJ unlimiteds avail in Ca. you can pick up a Rubicon for under 18k, lifted and modded similar to yours for 20k (2006) ...these are their asking prices, actual prices will probably be less.

Maybe you could take off the bumper(s) and lights, and sell them seperately, that would could you another couple of hundered.

Good luck

Sounds like you have a killer setup, would like to see some pics...

I agree with you about what you'd like to get out of it, but modding a jeep is like throwing your money away if you're going to sell it....IMO..

I would look to take in the 19s...
