TJ RME authenticity

Hey everyone, I recently purchased a 03 RME TJ from a dealership. While looking at the jeep, I noticed that the rear diff is a D35. I know that this model is supposed to come with the D44 but the price was right so I bought it anyways. I also got the dealership to pull out the build sheet and it did say that it was a RME.

So my question is, did the RME ever come with the D35 instead of the D44? I looked around for info on this and didn't really find a real answer. I live in Canada if that makes a difference.

thanks in advance for any insight

Look at the build sheet. That will specify the rear axle, along with a bunch of other info.

I did pull out the build sheet and it does say that the jeep was built with the D35 rear axle. I just find it odd since I was under the impression that all Rocky Mountain Edition TJ's came with the D44.
