Tires Tires Tires

So i wanted a new set BFG 33 1250 A/T From Sams Club they were $167 a tire. I thought it was a good price. Well it turns out that they are not in prodution right now and wont be for a while. I cant really wait that long.

So i looked around found some Goodyear Dura Tracs from Discount online
33 1250 $164 a tire
They are $779.58 out the door

Is this a good price for these??
Are they any good???

I got mine a bit cheaper, but not much, check locally and see what you can come up with. I've only had mine for 3 days, but so far I love them... They do great in snow.

Wait, is that for 5? If so then I'd say that is a good price. Sorry, but math will make my head hurt right now and I'm not going there

discount tire will price match. I got all 5 with certs for $850.00. I beleive tirerack.com had them for 143 per tire and discounttiredirect.com pricematched and cut me a deal on certs.

Discounttiredirect.com is the same company as discounttire.com. They give better prices sometimes. They ship for free to conus, and no sales tax. You will just have to pay to get them mounted. Really you can save some money this way. Without certs thats 713 for 5 tires. You could try to have the local shop price match tirerack or whoever has them cheapest also.

I don't know if your Sam's Club has a problem ordering DuraTracs, but the website says $160 apiece. I know we charge $15 a tire for install, and that pretty much includes EVERYTHING. Mount, balance, valve stems, road hazard warranty, free balance and rotates, free flat repairs, and a 3-year roadside assistance deal.

....I hate working there, but damn if they don't come through with the deals sometimes.

If you want info on Duratracs there is a long post in the tire and wheels section, every one that has them loves them, they are great in almost any terrain, they are an aggressive AT, then only downside if you can call it that is a slight hum, but not near as bad a an MT.
