Thoughts on this wrangler 02 TJ

What do you guys think of this 2002 tj with 130,000 miles. it has a 4" lift and 33 yokohama geolander tires. 5 speed and interior is flawless. has cb radio painted to match rims and fenders with decals. Has mounts for a shovel jack and Jerry cans.

The are asking 7500 but i was told the lady will take less because it hasn't sold yet. I dotn know what kind of lift it has but im interested to hear what you guys would offer.

I am in Delaware and the big question is rust. Did you crawl underneath and check it out under there? Take a bunch of pictures with your cell phone and post them up if you are not sure.

Seems about average for a lightly modified rig up in this neck of the woods.
I wouldn't expect it to have been regeared or have any other functional mods besides what you see for that price though.

I second that, the price seems pretty fair for the year. If you could get it down to $6,500-7,000, I'd say you're getting a pretty good deal.

130,000 is just about exactly average for a vehicle of that age.

Nobody can answer if it will go 200k or not.
That all depends on what maintenance was done to it in the past and if you continue to do all preventive maintenance if you decide to buy it. The 4.0 is a robust engine though.

Oh and hey, when you go to check it out again, bring a screwdriver.
Poke around the frame in the rear where the upper and lower control arms mount.
That spot is notorois for rotting out on these TJ's. Inside, outside, underneath, inside the frame, give it ALL a good twice-over.

For a vehicle in a salt state (like us), 13 years +/- 1 is about all an untreated frame is good for.
I've seen 14 instances now of that rule holding true, mine included.

If its a true Willys Edition, it has to be an `04-05. maybe they don't know what they have.

Willys Edition - 2004-2005
* 4.0L I-6 engine
* Exclusive Moss Green exterior color
* Water resistant Camo and black seats
* Unique "WILLYS" decal at cowl side
* Diamond plate rocker guards painted Dark Green
* Body-color fender flares
* AM/FM stereo radio with CD player and seven speakers (includes subwoofer in center console) - no extra charge
* 4.0L Power Tech I-6 engine
* Tow hooks
* Fog lamps
* Full-size spare tire with matching wheel

If it is not rusted out I would say good find.

Definitely not a 03-06 based on side mirror design.

Appears to be a sahara with judging by the flares and under the door.

drove it today, it runs smooth and very nice around town. it has a skyjacker 4" lift kit with bilstein shocks. Only two problems... on the highway it sways from left to right and there is play in the steering wheel. looks like im drunk driving. What would cause this?

Thanks
