Temp Wheel Help (pic)

Should I plastidip the center caps?

I had originally but it got all kinda if crappy when I torqued down the lugs (popped like a sticker). I liked the look but got several compliments on them they way are.

Now I'm a little torn lol

Thoughts?

Why move? It's a JK. lol

Because it's not tech related.!!! Plasti dip is useless for that application.

There is lots of fluff in there still. Lol

And how is it not, it's temp which is the point. I've also seen several people that have done it already, already did the steel portion not sure why the plastic part didn't take it.

Depends on the surface of the material your are spraying. Did you scuff up the metal so that the plasti dip has something to hang onto? If you have a surface that is polished with a hard material like your chrome wheels, nothing will stick to it very long. Also, why do it even if it is temporary?

The steel was no problem the plastic was. I am scuffing it today and respraying.

This is just temp until I can get real wheels and new rubber. IMHO the stock steelies are horrid.

Half of them done, again.

I scuffed up the plastic and put down a base of black wheel spray paint and then sprayed over the dry paint with the PD so it is was an even color. Then after it all dried I took the dremel to the holes and cleaned out the "overspray" and then remounted. Went on without a hitch.

Looks so much better IMHO and I don't like black wheels but for a temp solution I like it. Until I can afford to do it right.
