Still leaking Coolant. HELP!

Does anybody know how much this could cost or have encountered this situation? The radiator has been changed but still leaks. It's become worse over the past week or so. When the car sits it's almost a steady stream flowing out. I got underneath to try and see where the leak could be coming from and all I saw was leaking from the bottom of the engine where the spinny thingy the belt goes on. I'm trying to get just an idea to see how much a fix like this would cost to settle my nerves. I know if it's expensive it won't really settle it, but I atleast know what I'll be putting aside ready to spend. I have an appointment Monday to have it checked.

Thanks ahead of time!

That sounds like it's the water pump leaking.

I looked up "spinny thingy the belt goes on" + "leak" + "coolant" and my book said "See Pump, water".

If it is leaking as badly as you say, you need to park it until you get it fixed unless you want to risk overheating the engine. If you have the work done at a shop you are looking at around $300-350. If you overheat the engine you could be looking at several thousand dollars.

Check the hose and clamp where the lower radiator hose connects to the water pump. I had a clamp that was bad, and when the jeep was at idle I saw no leaks. Shut it down and after a minute or so the coolant started flowing - but it wasn't quite the steady stream I imagine you are talking about.

Regardless, it's a cheap place to start. Hose clamp = $2 or $3 and takes 5 minutes to swap out, if you're lucky and that's the problem. If the hose is split, $10.

Water pump will be more, but like said, don't boil the engine or you'll really be dropping some cash.
