It will pull fine. However, look into Black Magic Brakes as a necessary upgrade, with a Vanco setup being ideal.

Took some scrap metal n with the jeep one day. Small trailer but rolled over the scales at a tick over 7800. I was taking off with out touching the gas and this is n a 97 with the ax15 and 3.83 first gear, 3.07 diff gears on 31s. 4.0 didn't hesitate.
