Softop and Thule carries

Hey all, I was just curious if anyone had experience with this. I'd love to be able to put a thule system for carrying snowboards, gear and such on the jeep but not sure if it would be possible with the softop. Thanks in advance.

For the most part, roof racks mount to the body (not the top) of the Jeep so most likely they will fit. This is assuming your soft top is smaller than the size of a hard top.

I have a Warrior Safari Roof Rack on mine. You can get a little creative with the mounts since it's a square tube rack. I have mounted mountain bike mounts and other stuff directly to it.

Warn you, wind resistance is a killer! Bikes and all are cool. But large items (hockey bags) and it feels like there is a sail up there. And if the roof is off... you get a lot of down wind that beats the snot out of you while you drive.

But the rack was one of the best investments I made. I'm lucky that I live close to Quadratec and could pick it up there rather than pay the expensive shipping fee.

I considered getting a roof rack, but after a noticeable decline in power caused by my hard top, I think I'll pass.
