Should I put 17" JK rubicon wheels on my 2004 Jeep TJ? (merged)
My 2004 Jeep tj has a 4" skyjacker lift on it. I am getting new 35" Toyo Mt tires Saturday and I bought a set of 5 JK rubicon wheels for $50 off craigslist earlier this year. I already had the adapters on my jeep but I was wondering whether you all think I should run the jk stocks, or keep my 17" pro comp wheels? Also, if anybody has any pictures of JK wheels on a TJ that would help me out a lot. Thank you!

^ He already has 17" rims and tires.
I just bought some JK Rubi wheels, and I think the big issue is the crazy amount of backspacing (6") they have. I have a 285/70/17 on the way for them and it should just clear, given some 1.375" Spidertrax spacers that will also serve as adapters.
With a 12.5" wide tire you may be into some issues fitting around coil buckets and stuff.

JK wheels have a 5x5" bolt pattern which will not fit on a TJ which has a 5x4.5" bolt pattern.

will stock jk rims fit on a 35x12.5x17" tire? Help please!
If i get 35x12.5x17 Toyo mud terrain tires and I want to put stock Jk wheels on them (already have the adapters to make it fit on my Jeep TJ), are the jk wheels wide enough to fit inside of a tire that has a 12.5 width? or will i have to get tires that are smaller? someone help please

The width of the adapters will be the key determining factor. Guessing the JK factory wheels having a similar amount of backspacing the TJ factory wheel has, you'd need adapters that are approximately 1.25" to 1.5" wide to give the tire's inside sidewall sufficient clearance away from everything.

JK Rubis have 6" or 6.25" BS and a re generally 7.5" wide, depending on what year. Are these the rims you have decided on?
If so, the widest adapter I have found was 1.5". You might have a hard time fitting 37 x 12.5 on a net 4.5" BS wheel.

You should get the same answers as your thread in the TJ section.

He's wondering if the tire will fit on the rim and not the Jeep.
