Rubicon "Imposter" Decal

I just bought an 09 Wrangler X. I just replaced the Goodwrangler tires with BFG All Terrains to give it a little more "aggressive" look. I now want to put a Rubicon Decal on the hood. I didn't know that the "real" Rubicons decals are individual letters rather than a full decal. I have a few questions I would like some help with. First, is it against the law to be a Rubicon "Impersonator"? Second, if anyone out there has the decals, would you be brave enough to show me? Third, can you see the clear vinyl portion? And last, are you pleased?

yes ,it is illegal to have rubicon stickers on a X. if you must put them on put the passenger side on crooked thatys how mine and a lot of others are. i say dont do it, think of something clever to put on instead but in the same font as the rubicon

awesome post! Pretty funny. I'm sure you'll get a few grimacing looks. But, this is seemingly a pretty cool forum. Hell, even when a few members have acted like poo-poo's, everybody is still fairly cool & tolerant.

put a volvo logo on the front grill for all I care.

just don't sell it later on ebay claiming it's a rubicon in a couple of years..... that's not cool to anyone

Someone had RUBICLONE and it looked good. Don't be loser and put a sticker on something its not. Find a good sign store and get some custom stickers made. He needs help does anyone have some good ideas for him?

don't be a poser and add a rubicon sticker.

get a sticker made like "X-Rated" or "X Sited"

Thats not a real RUBICON decal. He doesn't want to put a "fake" sticker on it he wants a "Real one"

Why would someone want to put a Rubicon sticker on a X? It's like the dorks who put SS on a Malibu or a Cobra emblem on a GT....

If you put "Rubicon" on it, then everytime someone asks you how you like your Rubicon, you are going to have to explain it. Be proud of what you have, that X will go places almost no other vehicle can.

I wouldnt do it. Just take the X sticker off and enjoy it. Whatever you put on it will just pill off in a few years anyway.
