Easy.
Do you wheel atleast once a month. If no, don't get it, if yes, get a TJ and use the rest of the money to build it better.

Take the $ you will spend a month on the Rubicon's payment and invest it in your ZJ I bet after 1-2 years you will have a rig that is built stronger and more capable then a Rubicon and you wont have car payments

Good advice - buying used is a reasonable idea to at least consider. There was a built-up TJ at the local dealership that I liked a lot (brownish gray color). Couldn't make it happen cause my wife hates the TJ interior [think she called it ancient] and I run the payments through her business, plus she's the primary driver of our 2-door.

Rubicons are a great fit for a certain slice of jeep customers. Only you really know whether you fit that slice. On one end of the spectrum you have most of the jeep customer base where the Rubicon is overkill. They'll never use the things that they are paying a premium for. Then at the other end you have a small slice of people who will end up modifying the vehicle so much that they'll strip out a lot of the parts they paid a premium for so they would have been better off starting with a Sport. In between those two groups is a slice where they'll use it enough to justify the expense but have limited plans beyond.

Yep. If. I was to buy a JK. It would be a stripped down unlimited x. Cause it would get D60's and an atlas

Do JK Rubicon's still have the ABS removed like the TJ's? That's unsafe! Your next Jeep should have ABS. There. I talked you out of it.

If you can afford it, get it. Back in February you posted that one of your dream cars was a Rubicon so you've had this itch for awhile, scratch it.
