Road Trip!!

So in April I finally come back to the states! I just got my orders to leave Okinawa and will be reporting to Little Creek, VA. I will be picking up my TJ at my Dad's house near Orlando, FL and driving up to VA. What is the farthest anyone has gone on a road trip in thier wrangler?

How much time did you spend at the Naha music club? Did you go on the stage?

For those who fight for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.

In the summer of 2000, by buddy and I quit our jobs, and spent 4-1/2 months and 19,000 miles that summer travelling around the country in his 94 YJ.

Started in Boston, went to Valley Forge and Gettysburg, then down the entire 400-some-odd miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway, out to Myrtle Beach, down to Key West, over to New Orleans, Texas, Galveston Bay, up to Denver, down to Grand Canyon, all the national parks, Moab, Telluride, hit the Pacific at San Louis Obispo, drove up PCH to Oregon and Washington, then came home to Boston across the northern US.

Life doesn't get better than that.

Enjoy your trip. Seeing the world from a soft-top Jeep is the only way.
Good luck,
Pete

Drove from Toronto to Utah last September. I have a 2000 TJ and my buddy has a 2005 Rubicon.
We entered the States through Michigan and followed a route through Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, and then into Utah.

Total round-trip was 7392 KM or 4593 M.

My advice for driving through wyoming is to maybe put a nice scenic poster on the windows... Unless if you like to look at rolling hills, weeds, and windmills.

No I haven't been to any of those clubs but my Marines have. The stage (if it is still open) should be off limits these days.

I'd love to take a road trip in my Heep but the furthest I've gone at one time was 300miles in it

I'm sure as hell wearing earplugs next time I spend over an hour in that thing!

I've driven to my sisters house in OR about 7.5 hours from here, that's probably the farthest. but I've done several 4-6 hour trips to various places. If it's just me and a friend, or me and my dog, I won't have it any other way. I love taking my Jeep long distances

I love road trips.

Did a run to Atlanta, Georgia in 14 hours straight. Rested for 1.5 days and then San Angelo, Texas in 17.5 hours straight.

Only stopped for gas, food and peeing.

My family thinks I'm crazy to drive all that way (with a soft top). I guess it's just a Jeep thing. The trip will be roughly 790 miles.
