RC vs Zone thread

I really have to point out something for anyone doing a lift from either of these companies.RC is #1 and will do ANYTHING to fix any problem you might have.I have NEVER had anything that RC hasn't fixed in a day or two.Zone won't do anything or even help you with the prices if you promote their products.I like my Zone lift but would switch back to RC in a minute based on the customer service.RC ROCKS! Zone made me feel like I bought the lift and F@#$ Off.Not good to me.RC,when you get your new stuff,PM me.RC needs to let me test out the new shocks.I'd switch ASAP because of the lack of customer care RC always has! I don't care about what I'm supposed to get,RC NEVER let me down for one minute!

Interesting, you wanna eleaborate on that? You were praising zone's quality in an earlier thread, did something break?

BTW, good to know on the RC stuff, I've been looking at their flex arms.

Boggie, I am also confused. Are you buying the kits to upgrade or are you "flipping" TJs, to get lift kits for free/promotion/discounts ???

You also stated in a recent thread that you have not lost money on any build and sale.

This sounds more like a RC fellatio thread, based on the OP. Yes, it's easy to buy a vanilla Jeep and throw a cheap lift on it and flip it for more money which is precisely what the OP does.

The problem is, RC won't last. I'm sitting here with 6-8k miles on my 2.5" 6cyl lift springs and every damn one of them has settled to different heights giving me terrible steering input from the throttle. Yes, I can steer with the throttle because of this. And the 6cyl springs still sagged 3/4-1" on the front of the 2.4L with a Warn M8000 on the front. The shocks were so stiff I pulled them in exchange for Rancho 9000's earlier on. Been through two RC 2.2 steering stabilizers in the 6-8k miles, as well.

You get what you pay for. I learned the hard way. A majority of the reason why I dislike the Jeep is because I end up working on it more than driving it. I then realized most of that is due to swapping the RC parts around trying to make them work, replacing RC parts, and screwing around with the front end trying to make the Jeep drive correctly with 4 RC springs of differing lengths.

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/tj...-time-1150890/

The springs are the last RC parts, with the exception of the rear trackbar bracket, still left on my Jeep and they're getting swapped for Zone, BDS, or Rusty's 3" springs soon enough.

Does Zone have a representative on the forum like RC? I've noticed companies pay attention especially when they have participants in product/vehicle forums.

I would keep in mind RC has to have good CS since their products used to suck. Zone is a pretty new company as you know too so they might not have everything figured out and may have bigger problems to work out, like their lift kits so their customers dont need to come back. My friends are happy with their zone kits and the customer service was great to them. And Im pretty sure RC has more problems with their kits than zone, so they HAVE to have great CS or they would be outa business, right? Just my 2 cents. Seems like somethin set the boogie off? I dunno, good luck tho! Creepy profile pic too btw

RC used to suck.... They are still the worst. People keep hanging their junk because its cheap and they can ship **** faster than quality.
Their idea of fixing a sagging problem is to give you spacers instead of designing a spring to last more than a few miles. Theres alot of people who cheaped out and like to pimp RC like they are actually a good company. But that keeps you calling them back and them selling you more scrap metal. To each his own, Buy once and never look back, Much better off in the long run.

That.

I was wondering how their coils held up. Their leaf springs are so bad it would be comical if it did not involve real money.

Hey Boogie,

We pride ourselves in excellent customer service. We are easy to get ahold of and stand behind our systems. What sort of problem did you experience with us or your kit?

In all of these threads I wonder how has actually run the products they are bashing or going off of 'I read on the internet' or 'my friend's friend had a bad experience'. I don't run Zone but that sounds pretty strange, I heard nothing but positive info from people running the kits I've talked to.
