Pulled a Fellow Jeep out in wading Riverlong island..anyones jeep?

Not sure where to post this so its here...So i was driving into a local spot in wading river and about 2 min in i see a Blue YJ stuck in a big Rut...driver was not around and the keys were left in the ignition :nono: battery was dead so we jumped it and proceeded to pull it out, i broke my crappt tow rope that i needed to replace anyway and left to get a chain...came back about 20 min later and pulled him out in one tug, i left the jeep in the front of the trail for anyone that knows whos jeep that could be with a note and my phone number

Here are some pics of how stuck he was

Oh yea, thats where I left it. Crazy night a few nights ago. One minute I'm in NY and then Im back in Oklahoma. I'll pay you $5000 if you'll ship it to me. I only have this $10,000 check from my Nigerian uncle so I'll endorse that to you and you can send back $5000 cash and the Jeep. Deal?

Nice gesture, but the owner may or may NOT have wanted a stranger getting in their Jeep, jumping it off, and proceeding to drive it for them. I would be grateful, but then again you could've had bad intentions....

DailyDrvn5 12-29-2009 04:48 PM

I would have left it, with a note and phone number saying call if you need help.

Getting it out just made it easier for some low life to steal it, esp with keys in ignition, dead battery or not

I would never abandon my jeep, don't go wheeling alone:(

jeep0312 12-29-2009 04:53 PM

maybe you have took the keys with you and still left the note. you could have came back to drop off the keys or had them come get them via whoever brought them to get it pulled out.

lolz !

If the owner of the YJ was that worried about someone getting in his jeep and driving/recovering it, HE SHOULD OF TAKEN THE KEYS.

It's a JEEP not a rare Ferrari. Not every one is a thief or a punk, he was probably counting on the brotherhood of RESPONSIBLE four wheelers to drag his *** out. I know I would done everything I could have to help. :tea:

That jeep is not stuck.

It just lousy tires and a poor pilot.
