Painted my YJ

Here's the new paint job.

Before.

After.

At first I thought I would need to replace the spice color with black, but I actually like this combination.

I also thew away the roll cage padding and painted the cage flat black.

I used the Krylon Olive Camo spray paint.

The top is really really old and cannot stretch far enough to button properly. I wish I had more money so I could buy a new one.

Looks badass, especially with the tan top. Kinda looks like something out of M*A*S*H*.

Did you do any prep work? Looks good either way.

I cannot wait till I can finally use my safari top again.

I almost painted my wheels black but the roll cage used more paint than I thought. I wonder if some one could photo shop the wheels to flat black.

I washed the body, wet sanded a couple of times, painted 2 coats of primer, wet sanded with finer grit, then gave it many thin coats of paint.

No sealer, no gloss. I'll just keep painting more layers of OD ontop of it and over time a thick layer will form.
