Ordered an JK Ulimited today

On the way home from deer hunting, I had a nasty adventure with black ice and a guard rail with my faithful YJ Sahara.

So I ordered a 2014 JK Unlimited like this 2013 today
STICK, Leather and most other option. Debated long and hard on the 7 spoke Sahara rims and the body color hardtop, but I am liking the black top contrast and the base rims are growing on me I got the Sahara pimarily to get the leather.

I still have the Commander and plan on keeping it.

That's tough about the YJ, but very nice purchase. And the color is cool.

They are telling me 60 days. I went ahead and ordered the 7 spoke pollished aluminum rims this morning. Then the dealer called back today while entering the order. There were only two wheel choices for the 2013 and Acording to the dealer it looks like both the 2013 rims are discontinued. For the 2014 they have a new rim coming out. All he had was the description with no pictures. So I guess I'll know what they look like when I see it. It is supposed to be polished with "carbon" portions. I would prefer the standard Rubicon wheel. Oh well.

Sorry about you YJ and congrats on your JK. Well one good thing about the wheels is that if you canít stand them when your new Jeep arrives you can always sell them and that should help pay for wheels that you can live with.

Also, there should be lots of Rubicon take-offs floating around from people going aftermarket that you can score on the cheap.

The YJ was pretty much toast. It had frame and body tub damage and was riding on 160,000 miles. Insurance company totaled it and gave me a check for $5,100. I had a $500 dollar deductable. I bought it used (2years old) with 14,000 miles in 1996 for $16,000.

Here is a pick of the YJ in my avatar about 4 months before it met it's death on black ice. Wish the JK would have been available in these colors. I think it was the best green and Sahara trim jeep ever offered.
