Good to see you recovering quickly. Any idea's or suggestions to armor our jeeps to prevent this from happening?

Sadly its one of those freak things that you just can't account for. As for armor I'd say the only safe thing is to park your Jeep. You can't possibly armor up every square inch of your Jeep.

Wow. I would have never thought of that being a weak spot on the Jeep. I am trying to armor everything to protect parts. Never would have guessed that we need something to protect our own "parts". You are a very lucky guy. I'm glad you are ok. Someone was looking out for you for sure.

Now - use this in your favor..."honey. It really hurts right "here". Can you massage it for me?" - unless she is the one who threw the tree in your path. Then run.

Seriously though. Glad you made it out as well as you did.

I know when I want solid protection from a tree, I choose rubber.

You couldn't have an accident like this again if you tried. Lucky SOB. Whoever you have watching over you, can you give him/her my card?

Woah...dude, considering what happened, I am AMAZED you survived without being impaled!! Whew, glad to see you're recovering quickly!! Hats off to your friends for taking care of you and your Jeep. It definitely does make ya want to look into firewall/floorboard armor, huh? I agree in that it seems almost impossible to reproduce this particular situation.

Why??? You want an accident like this to happen to you?? Maybe when the thing that could have prevented this happened, the guardian angel was asleep at the wheel...
