Holy ******* ****! Looking at the pics and angle, it seems that even full Jeep armor would not have helped.

As mentioned by others, I'm also glad that you're doing ok from that.

Glad you're okay buddy - you really took a severe beating there! Wasn't there someone on foot spotting or was everyone just driving?

In areas of snow, going slow cannot be stressed enough. Sometimes things are hidden deep in the snow (not the case here) and they have a tendency to popup when least expected. Same thing with mud and water puddles.

The Jeep can be fixed (damage looks minimal), and you're going to heal. And then you'll be able to tackle the trails again with a vengence!

i guess we should consider retro fitting that area of the driver side, either inside or out, with some diamond plate sheet metal armoring.

It shouldn't be that expensive but it would certainly be a safety mod.

You should send these pic's and the story to Jeep.com so they can re-enforce the areas for safety purpose. You're extremely lucky to be alive.

You're lucky it didn't damage your gun, I mean your tool, I mean your d!#@!

Thread lightly.

That's going to be a hell of a story for your grand kids. Glad to see you are o.k. Looks like it could have been a lot worse.

Wow, OP, I'm as well glad you are doing okay! From crossing logs, I can see how a small one would be unstable, although what are the odds?!

I hope you are doing better soon and are back in your Jeep in no time! Keep the faith.

Dang dirtyjeep, thats messed up man. Glad you weren't more seriously injured and hope you'll be all well soon so you can go back and cut you off a piece of that tree, and bring it home, as a reminder that you won this one.

That's a one in a million kind of accident. Guess you won't have to worry about that ever again!

Glad your doing well. I've already seen the pictures floating around the internet. Too bad you had to go through this for your 15 minutes of fame.

Heal well my friend.
