New Newb

If the test drive and mechanic check goes well I should own my first Jeep by the end of the week! A pretty bright yellow 2006 TJ X.

So I thought I would come in and say hello... Uh.. Hello

And mark my territory in the newbie corner.

(and Yes I will use the freaking search button)

Congrats and welcome. Yes, search is your friend and also having "thick skin". But, then again, wimps, should not own Jeeps.

Thanks for the welcome!

The test drive went well. The clutch is way soft, I believe its fixable with an adjustment.

Its a great rig though I couldn't get them to wiggle on the price. I have my mechanic going over the rig tomorrow morning.

If he gives the all clear this baby is all mine...

Since I dont have enough posts to add images here is a link to some quick camera phone photos: CLICK ME

Then its mod time muhahahaha... though I have to admit I might steal the Tonka decal idea from one of you forum members avatar, I think it would go great on the bright yellow TJ.

Welcome,
The clutch is soft in a jeep. Its not a truck, They have mid sized to heavy duty parts. You can up-grade to a dual friction and it will be harder to push in. I thought that too on my very first YJ, 100k later and clutch was still in there from the day i bought it. Good luck with your jeep.

MOPAR!

Welcome a board there buddy!!! Don't worry about the search function, it gives use something to post about. Just about everything has been discussed at one time or another. For those that it bugs don't need to reply and for the rest, we love talking about jeeps, over and over. The yellow is cool, I'm thinking about painting mine yellow, I'm sick of red.
