New 2012

After 18 years of waiting my new 2012 Jeep is coming tomorrow. There was a mix up at the dealer and it is only a hard top. Can you convert to a soft top as well?
Any tips or where to buy would be great.
Cheers
Steve

Hardtop and Soft top are interchangeable. You will need to buy the soft top and hardware if you want to run a soft top too

Yep, you'll need to buy the proper "surrounds", soft top mounts for the rear rollbar, and the mounting brackets that sit just off to the sides of the top of the tailgate to roll the rear window attachment bar into. Everything should come as a kit, but you know how things go...
And DO NOT attempt to put it on for the very first time on a day that's even "cool", it will be an exercise in frustration of epic proportions. You need a nice warm sunny day and the top will need some time to relax and stretch... Just an FYI.
The soft top is worth it, we loved ours and miss it.
It is almost time to put the hard top back on though...been topless all summer.

Do you know any places in the states that sell the kits? Trying to get the best deal around.

I bought a complete soft top for my 2013 JKRU off Craigslist for 500 bucks.
