So we have a customer at our shop that wants us to do a vortec/4L65E swap. The Jeep pulled in the shop about a week ago and the engine/trans was dropped in and bolted in yesterday. We called our customer and asked him to come by to see the progress and give us some input on how he wants it to look and perform. He got in the driver seat of his Jeep, smiled real big, and proceeded to bounce himself in the seat holding the steering wheel and making engine noises with his mouth. It was a good 15 seconds before he stopped. I laughed. But not at him. I laughed because I did the same exact thing when we were building our drag car. Something about our vehicles turn us guys into 5 year old boys again. I love this job/hobby.

Even if the vehicle isn't under construction I find myself - and others - doing this. Makes a smile grow on my face every time.

Just thought I'd share. I'm sure there's a 5 year old in you just dying to come out! I say take him wheelin!
