I wish Ford would buy Jeep.

It's the only "domestic" company that didn't accept a bail-out.

Now here's the other side of that coin (by the way, this is all at least a year old now).

Making 2-3x profit isn't good enough anymore with the modern business model. 30-40x profit is minimum to keep the investors happy.

I can't comment on the 30-40x specifically but I know what you mean.
I'm currently undergoing statistical analysis training for process improvement within my company. It's amazing how in depth you need to get to maintain a competitive edge. Simply selling a better product for a better price doesn't cut it with the big boys anymore.

I will never buy a new Chrysler product. They were wrong to pull franchise from dealers.

I "might" buy a used one if they make a diesel JK.

6 sigma has been in the production world for decades... it's slowly starting to penetrate the other areas... accounting, marketing, sales, mgmt, ... The last bastion is probably going to be edjucasion and govt... if it ever gets there, it's gonna be bumpy.

It's already ruined the military. lol

It's run by MBAs trying to follow business models, even though that model doesn't really apply.
