And thanks for reinforcing that. The LJ Rubicon has always been my dream jeep and I've invested so much time and money so I don't know why I forgot about that. I've just gotten annoyed with one repair after another. They're by far the best looking modern jeep

I don't have those codes, I had to take a break from it for a while before I got really fed up. Any cel is a problem for me as I'm in nj, so I can't put it on the road until I have NO cel.
I have one for cooling fan relay, and one for trans control relay.

I have the fan relay as well. If yours is like mine it's because the dodge is set up to have a signal to trigger the fan relay and the jeep didn't. If you're running an electric fan now then ignore the code, it's false. What's the code you're getting for the trans relay?

You should be able to have your PCM reflashed to ignore the fan code since its a false positive. As for the other stuff you might have to do the same thing depending on what the codes are. Either way, its possible to work around it so you can get it legally on the road.

It's not about "market" it is about liability.

Besides the 5.2 swap is for more die hard wheelers... the dealerships wants to be able to take a trade that they can turn around and sell to any idiot of the street. They can't with yours. I'm surprised they even did a cost analysis to swap a 4.0 back in. Lol

I'm beginning to wonder if I should trade my '05 LJ in for a jku but I'm still hesitant because of how gutless the 3.8 v6 is. The JK I'm looking at is an auto and appears to have a 3 or 4 inch lift with 35's and I doubt its been regeared. My LJ on the other hand has 4.10's, since its the rubicon, a 4 inch lift with 33's, and a 5.2 V8 powering it which has proved to be plenty of power. How disappointed do you guys think I would be if I went ahead with trading it in? And I mean in every way that you can compare the two jeeps.

And yes I'm aware that you can't really compare a V8 to a V6.
It is not the comparison LT and JKU, but LT and JKU.
LT with v8: what a dream!
