From a new JK owner

I was taught about the wave long before I became an owner. I too am frustrated with other JK owners in VA Beach who don't wave. I know that sometimes traffic and safety can be a factor, but come on...

I think its just some people think their special (rode the short buss) and are too good to wave.
YOU CAN BUY A NEW JEEP. BUT it don't come with manners, SHOULDA LISTENED TO YOUR MOTHER. SHE TRIED.
I'm proud of my YJ! sorry abt those who aren't proud of their ride.

This thread just gets funnier and funnier!

So- is there a special "jeep wave"? Am I doing it wrong? Is it okay just to casually raise a hand on the steering wheel, or do I need to sort of do a salute-style wave, or roll down the window and hang my arm out and down "Harley" style? Is there a special hand-shake?

I got the wave in my YJ and I get the "Harley" wave when I'm out on my XJ750. Maybe I am just used to others on bikes and the Jeep crowd has changed. Don't care if you complain about another wave post just don't look at the topic it is that easy.

i found that especially funny... by the time you roll down your window, or slide in my case, they are approximatly 3 1/2 miles away

I think any wave is ok! BUT if you see a YJ coming at ya. pulling over, kneeling and bowing as it goes by is ok too! ROTFLMAO

So I'm driving around waving at every Jeep (with the classic body style- I don't wave at Liberties and Grand Cherokees) and NOBODY waves back. Maybe, as someone else indicated, it's a regional thing. There's a lot of Jeeps in Alaska so maybe people decided it wasn't worth waving at everyone else on the road.

Anyway I did love some of the sarcastic comments here, so thanks for all the laughs.
you should wave at Grand Cherokees, seeing as your body style isnt anymore classic

There is so much abuse towards dead horses because of this subject. LET THEM REST IN PEACE!
