Information sites and vehicle specific numbers

Not sure if any of these have been posted before or not. Just some transmission/transfer case information and supporting sites that I have found.

Hopefully all who are gear heads can add to this or correct what is incorrect and gear heads/non-gear heads can find some useful information.

Gear ratio calculator: http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html

Tire size calculator: http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html

Transmissions:

Manual NSG370, http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/nsg370.htm

Auto (4 speed, 2007-2011) - 42RLE, http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...ission-service

Auto (5 speed, 2012-????) - W5A580

Transfer case:

X/Sport/Sahara: NV241, 2.72:1 low range

Rubicon: NVG241OR, 4:1 low range, http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/np241or.htm

Axles:

X/Sport/Sahara front: Dana 30 with 3.21 or 3.73 gears (4.10 optional towing package in 07, 08 forward only 3.73 is optional).

X/Sport/Sahara rear: Dana 35 with 3.21 or 3.73 gears (4.10 optional towing package in 07, 08 forward only 3.73 is optional).

Rubicon: Dana 44 with 4.10 gears.

The link about the transfer case isn't up to date. The JK doesn't have a speed sensor in the transfer case.

The '07 4.10 axle ratio option wasn't tow package dependent.
In the '07 model year, the only axle choices were 3.21 and 4.10.
I have seen an '07 non-Rubicon with the 4.10 axles, and no factory tow package.
