How bad is the damage?

My 2013 Jeep 4DR Sahara - NEW was ran of road and hit concrete curb and gutter. It took a major hit… so hard the lower control arm was ripped off with the bracket just by how far everything compressed when it hit the curb. The passenger side front tire popped, wheel is trashed, lower control arm and it's bracket ripped off the axel, shock trashed, and fender busted off by tire.

Any thoughts on possible frame damage or axel? Should this be totaled by the insurance company. It's 2 weeks old.

Thanks.

Good amount of damage but it won't be totaled, won't be able to convince them to either. Probably $5-$6k worth of work.

With no body damage, I doubt they would total it assuming you did not bend the frame. I would try to get the full front end checked and replaced if necessary not just the control arm.

Seeing as you can't buff the underside of a Jeep, that won't buff out.

I would bet they will need to replace axle housing I would think the Cs are bent, axle/ carrier bearing might be toast. heck the steering and box were stressed. last thing you want is a patched fix job and DW down the road. If you were into wheeling I would say time to upgrade. no use putting a d30 back under it
