High school jeepin'?
You bet! I'm another 18 year old senior. Got me a '96 Cherokee Classic--black, tinted windows, 114K on it. It's my baby (i've only had it for....around a month). For now, I'm keeping it primarily an on-road jeep, because my bank account dictates as much. Already taken it off roading, and love it...I can't get enough. Out of 5 Cherokees on campus at the moment, mine's the oldest, and the best looking
(already hand-waxed, washed the thing a few times). And if you start that other line on teen jeepin', I call number 13--someone's gotta be the unlucky number, right? And for anyone who cares, I pay my own way for everything (which is why nothing's been done....I have to pay for gas), and I hate rice-burning pieces of junk. I'd drive on top of them, but my time's better spend off-road rather than "on-car". |

ha ha ha I just heard a funny story today so anyway im a junior and take my TJ off road alot infact its usualy the dirtiest in the parking lot. there is a person in my same grade that drives a hummer. yea a 40 thousand piece of excessive crap but anyway he likes to brag and told me he drove all the way to the missouri river bottoms to do some muddin. well i went out to his H2 after school and to say that he had really been muddin was a joke it looked as though he had been on a gravel road on a wet day and maybe had gone through some dirty water. that same weekend i went muddin around here and had mud plastered all over the place. i guess some people just are as hardcore as jeep folk.

Ya, the same thing happened to me. I talked to a guy who claimed to have a Jeep and bragged about mudding in it. I go out after school that day and he looked like he had just caught a small mud puddle or something. That wasn't the worst part about his little wannabe story. His "Jeep" wasnt a Jeep at all. It was a Suzuki (sp?) Sidekick! How sickening! I just turned around, shaking my head, and walked away. There are a few guys that I go to school with that actually do use their Jeep to its fullest potential. Those guys I have respect for.

I know a bunch of people with lifted 4x4 Cherokees around here, I don't know them personally though. I just see them around town, one of them lives in my neighborhood, but he's a ****** canoe. I know 2 guys at school who drive them, their Jeeps are nice, but they're always clean
But I NEVER see teenage guys driving Wranglers. I guess its not "gangster" enough. I've seen a few teenage girls (They even know about the wave ) but the male aspect of teenage life seems limited to me. But thats okay, I like being different ![]() |

There are three other guys at school that drive lifted wranglers-all of them are like one of a kind. They're not wanna-bes. We park in a row side by side right by the door. It's kind of a neat sight. It sets us out from the rest of the crowd.

I've done both. It's not like I'm worried about someone stealing anything, I just don't want my stuff messed with. Like dirt thrown in it or whatever.
But sometimes I like going door-less, and its hard to put the doors in the truck ![]() It all depends on what I feel like doing I guess. I was just wondering if any of you have ever had any problems. |
