Headed to Moab Utah any tips?

Hey guys im leaving in a few weeks taking I-70 West through Utah to I-15 South. Im thinking about going to Moab,UT to visit a national park. I know a lot of Wranglers head out there for some red rock off-roading. You guys have any tips for traveling long distance im taking my Liberty KK 2011. I also would like to know if anyone has been out to Moab what area is good to do a little off roading...

Go here: www.funtreks.com

Get the book for Moab, Utah. That will have all the info that you need.

Take lots of water (1 gallon per person per day), sun block, and hats. It will be very hot out there in a few weeks. Let someone know where you are going and when you will return. Carry a personal locator beacon.

I've been there 3 times in my stock little 2a. Take water, have fun, and watch out for the camels.
And get the book that RockyMnt1 suggested.

Get the guide book ! It will serve as your bible while there. I have not been out the last couple of years but have been there 6 or 7 times a great place to wheel ! When I was there there is a food market on the main street in town, people would hang out there in the morning to get small groups together to go out on various trails. Everyone was very friendly and cooperative, go out and have a great time !

Check out Fins n things! No difficult obstacles, just lots of steepness and good times! Although good approach and departure angles help out on some of the fins

Folks meet in the City Market parking lot usually around 0800-0900 to form up caravans. Take your pick of which trail you would like to conquer that day. It is much safer to go with another vehicle.

I've been the 4 times you got to do Hell's Revenge! Don't do Cliffhanger
with your Jeep.

That's it, the CITY MARKET on the main street. Don't be shy if you see someone loading up their jeep with ice and supplies. I'd say 95% of any jeeper you see there will be completely friendly and answer any questions, most will be more than happy to have you join them on a trail ride.

Most of all relax and enjoy the trip !
