Getting that first 'Wave'

After wanting a Wrangler literally ever since I was a little kid, I was finally able to get a new 2012 Sport this weekend at the age of 37. I now have that little kid feeling again after finally being able to get the vehicle I have always wanted. Naturally it is stock, with the smaller tires, and eventually I would like to add things to it. To add to the experience, I got 'the wave' from the first two wranglers I passed on the road today. Needless to say, that made the permanent grin on my face even bigger.

Now to the anticipation to Spring and Summer for the first chance to take the top, and doors off. Just remember I may have a stock Wrangler for now, but I shall do my part to wave at each and every other one I pass.

Congratulations on the Jeep! It as well took me a while before I bought mine, and I'll never sell it either. Just take your time and figure out what you want to do with it.

And it's always cool to get a wave, but a when you don't get a wave.

I took my tj for a test drive (before I bought it, of course) and I had jeeps waving at me (keep in mind, my tj was lifted before I bought it). I had NO idea why until my uncle explained the jeep wave to me. Its certainly awesome to get waved at (especially by cute girls ).

Got my first wave two miles from where I bought my tj! Get em all the time in town, and no one knows this jeep in my area, bought it a ways away. If you see me, it's cause I will be waving at you...or sticking the hangloose out

I'll make sure to wave at you from the garage, cause that's where my Jeep has been for the past year and a half.

I know this is an old post, but it's new to me since I am new to the site - I got my first wave as I was pulling out of the dealer parking lot! It was pretty awesome - no one ever waved at me in my VW lol

I write down the license plate number of the people who don't wave at me.
I then track them down later, kidnap them, and hunt them for sport on a secret island I have out in Lake Michigan.

Once word of that got out pretty much everyone in our area started waving to me, even if they aren't in a Jeep.
It's all good.

You sound like the non-waving type.
What's your license plate number?

I was at a red light. I pull up to the light and another Wrangler is there. He waves, I wave at which time a third Wrangler pulls up and now we are all waving at each other at which point a fourth Wrangler pulls up and it begins again. I was so glad for the light to finally change, jeeeez.

But, if it is a JK Unlimited, unless they wave first, I do not wave at them. If they waved, I wave back. JKU people often, but not entirely, are not traditional Wrangler/CJ people. If you are in a JKU, you might need to initiate the wave, at which point, most will gladly wave.
