Having both they each have advantages.

The half doors are nice on the highway and if your travelling you can pop the uppers off and store them.

Full doors are best in bad weather and winter. But you have to take them off to get the true "Jeep" effect.

Two piece softdoors are also an option. We have a set and they get used more than the full doors for that Jeep.

The Jeep I bought had full steel doors, and now that I've had them off a couple of times, they slide right off. Often.

My top self-destructed, so I got the Bestop Supertop with two-piece cloth doors. I can still use the full doors when I need to, the soft lowers make my wife and son feel safer in the passenger seat, and I can take every door off whenever I want.

It's my mid-life crisis car, and I love My Jeep.
