So are Jeeps. We mod them because it's fun.

a stock jeep is very capable. people only change that stuff because they want to do bigger and bader stuff. how many g-wagons or range rovers do you see crawling mountains 100% stock?

With the money one spent on a G wagon or a Range Rover one could make a Wrangler into a vehicle that will outwheel both easily.

Wrong. A stock Rubicon would outwheel both easily. And if you consider the people that drive those things, they wouldn't be able to put it in 4L!

Well to get started you would have to invest into a $20,000 Hemi swap.

you're right about that. I was just pointing out that for same money as a stock g wagon you could build an incredible Jeep.

Outwheel, not drag race you idiot. You don't need 400 horses to crawl over rocks. If I want to race, there's a 2011 Mustang GT (5.0L 412bhp) in the garage next to my TJ.

you are clueless buddy. You think horsepower is what it's about? How about this, you get a Camaro SS with 500HP, and I'll get a VW Baja bug with 55hp and we will see which one does better off road?

It's not just us saying a wrangler is superior to those other vehicles off the pavement. Go out and read about it, the automotive press, as useless as they are, will agree.

Nothing wrong with 2wd's. Hell, you can get them for about 10k cheaper than a Rubicon.

Wow look at all of the trolling going on. I guess you aren't allowed to have an educated second opinion (similar to Nazi Germany).
