I think that's what you pay insurance for. Claim it. Problem solved.

I had hardly any carnage what so ever (busted shock mount)...but then again I wasn't doing 50.

Either way, glad you arent hurt, hope you learned a lesson.

Ditto on where you were? If you were running 50 I say we do some coin flips of all the vehicles in my driveway and I'll go hit it at 60 and see what happens! LOL

We went up 160 to Lovell Canyon, over the pass and down to where it kind of levels out. Maybe 5 or so miles from the summit of Lovell Canyon. Near where the cabins are.
A long trail ride, thus the late night.

The only thing that would make this thread better is a video.

I learned that early on with my new at the time í08 JKUR.
Have you ever driven a YJ? There are no on road safety features. But yes with ABS, traction control, and stability control in a newer vehicle driving quickly off road is not going to be very fun.

Oh crap of course there isnít. I can only guess where my head was at when I typed that post. Probably thought I was back in the JK Tech forum.

I have a CJ7 that Iíve driven for over 12 years (í86- í98) and am well aware of what the YJs are and have. Thanks for pointing out my embarrassing mistake.

When we were airborne, it was more of a whoop of excitement.
That was quickly replaced by fear as soon as I saw what we were about to do...

No, I have evolved. I installed one of these

Put your (ehem) beverage in it and it holds it tight. Just remember to drink it fast enough before it goes flat or warms up.

I was leaning into it, ya know, trying to keep it level.

Never again, by the way.
