finally got the stealership back after all of these years

about 3 years ago the stealershp charged me $500 beans to repair a bent latch in the pasenger door that would not open, when I got the quote I told them I wanted to take it to a local garage or repair it myself and the bastards told me thats fine, but they would have to charge me 3 hrs labor for taking the door apart and putting it back on! at that point I had them fix it.

Yesterday I won an ebay auction for a complete 06 TJ black diamond top in factory packaging! Cost me $243! Had to drive 250 miles round trip to pick it up today, but well worth it...I think they sell these for around 1200 or so....will wait to open the factory shrink seal on the top until spring. Only down side is that the windows are clear and not tinted, but I figure i can always sell them or trade for dark tint.

Just curious, did you buy the top from a dealership? I really don't understand how you got even with them if you bought something on ebay. Either way, It sounds like you got a great deal. Congrats and I hope you enjoy the new top.

Are you planning to wrap the receipt around a rock and send it through their window? Otherwise I think you just got a good deal.

Dude, I would let your anger go and focus on the future and what you can control.

Yeah, same here. But it is nice on the highway when people have their brights on behind you.

I'd prefer to have clear sides and a tinted rear. It may look goofy, but for me, I think it would be more functional.

Guess I failed to mention that the purchase was off ebay from a Jeep dealership in connecticut. I picked up directly from their service dept. The guy said "man, I didn't expect it to sell for such a low price"

Looks like they had an overstock of tops an no TJ's to put them on

priceless!
