Early Christmas present

So I have been keeping my eye for one of these for some time and the price has always been completely out of range. today a buddy called and said he no longer needed his and would let me have it for $500. Done deal, wife agreed said it was my christmas present so I picked it up this evening. It started out as a m416 that was nothing but a rust bucket, my buddy redone everything on it when he got it which was 3 or 4 years ago. Diamond plate flooring, made a drop down tail gate, new tires, shocks, went over the frame and did all edges of the body with diamond plate trim. It now needs to be cleaned up some and a freash coat of paint. I will be taking care of that and a few mods that I have always had in mind if I ever came across one.

Hope to add some carriers for water containers and make an removeable cargo rack. Will be doing the inside in a bedliner material to protect from rust and such. Some detachable clamps for shovel, axe and such. I am sure things will come to me as I go and will make changes.

That's badass. I've always wanted one of those, but they always seem so damn expensive. I assume $500 was an awesome deal?

Was a good deal, last one I seen sell here went for $900. This one I know the history of the rebuild one it and know that it was done right. People are asking an arm and leg for these on ebay and they are getting harder and harder to find.
