The dually factor is going to keep you off the trails and the rocks. The weight will keep you stuck in the mud. No real usefulness in it but does look sweat for a mall crawler. Again $20k is way to high. Figure 3-5k for a stock YJ (if in good shape), 2-3k in running gear and 2-3k for the motor. The work is not worth 10k.

Its not my cup of tea but that thing is pretty frickin cool. It was obviously not built to be a rock crawler or much of a serious off road rig but I still dig it. Gotta respect the guy for getting out there and building something different. I like it 100 times better than these 6x6 jeeps you see.

I hate to try to drive something with that short of a wheelbase with those daul wheels on the rear. I imagine it would push through turns like crazy. I can see building something like that for a monster garage type tv show. But, if he doesn't plan to keep it I think he wasted a lot of time and money.

Be very careful with the wife mod. Uninstallation can be extremely expensive. Wife mods have been known to take the Jeep and all other mods during the uninstall process. Also, make sure you service your wife mod properly as often as humanly possible. Wife mods not properly serviced may malfunction or uninstall themselves at any time.

Why, just why? The dual rear wheels serve absolutely no purpose unless there is a gooseneck hitch in the trunk space which is even dumber than I care to think about.

Would be OK if your wife weighs about 2000 lbs and you do too. I would Give him over the scale price here it is 250 a ton. Being in the midwest dually parts trucks are everywhere. The body rots away before the drive train wears out.....Jon

Willys CJ2 and CJ2a had a dually adapter back in the '40's. Grant it, it was mainly intended for use in the fields pulling a plow. And on the jeeps that had the back hoe attachment.

crappy paint for a mall crawler. not that there is any use for it but interesting that someone did a duelly jeep, don't see many of those. hope he didn't do all that work trying to increase tow capacity. unto each his own.
